100% Grass Fed and Finished

Do you know where your food comes from?

At the ranch, we care to know where our food comes from, how it’s grown, and how it gets to us. Our black angus cattle are born and raised exclusively at our ranch in Marble Falls, Texas. No long distant trucking that stresses the livestock. Just a short one-way trip to Johnson City. We care about the land, about the animals, community health, and food literacy. Consider buying local beef and support ranchers who give a damn.

From Ranch to Table, Naturally.

Cattle grazing on native grasses and forbs makes for nutritious fats in your beef. Beto-carotine (vitamin A) is abundant in the fat of animals that naturally graze (it’s the good yellowy fat).

All our Black Angus cattle are grass-fed and grass-finished at the ranch. The cattle are raised here on the same land they were born on until they reach final finishing weight, which is approximately 2-3 years. You’ll find no antibiotics, no growth hormones, and no steroids with our beef. Dry-aged 14 days, and USDA Inspected. Simply, naturally raised animals.

You can find us at at farmers markets around the area where you can purchase specialty steak cuts, roasts, ground beef (including a primal blend), and more. Periodically, we will offer half & whole sides of beef. If you’d like to learn more about how the bulk beef ordering process works, see our blog post on the three weights. Please join the mailing list to be the first to know when we offer our beef whole and halved.

You can also pick up beef at the ranch by pre-ordering. We also will happily deliver in the Marble Falls area.

Our Processor

All of Flat Rock Creek Ranch’s beef cattle are processed at a USDA Certified processor in Johnson City, TX. Harvest House carefully prepares and packages all of our cuts, freezes them, and we bring them back to the ranch where they are stored frozen for pick-up or delivery.
