Our Dairy Goats
We’re in our humble beginnings of establishing a micro dairy here at Flat Rock Creek Ranch. Join us as we navigate breeding for milk production, building our first milk parlor, and refining an in-house creamery. But first things first, goats!
We first began our foray into goat’s milk in Spring of 2023. After buying one goat, we learned they need goat friends, so we went to buy two more, but instead came home with four. Fast forward to 2025 we now have 9 Nubians total, including “TLC-FARMS AG HOUSTON” as our purebred nubian herd sire. To say we’re eager about the future of dairy at our ranch, is an understatement.
Annie Oakley
Purebred Nubian - Our first dairy goat to kid at the ranch. We purchased Annie in November of 2024 as a bred doe. She freshened for the third time and gave birth to twins on February 1st, 2025. Papered name “Warrior’s Rest Tess Greymane.”
CiCi
American Nubian - Our first diary goat. We got CiCi in Spring 2023 as a drying off doe, and only milked her for a month before we let her completely dry off. Our first practice goat on how this whole milking thing works. Papered named, “The Cora Mari CiCi.”
